Margaret Murphy
iOS Device Management Administrator - Team Lead Email: mmmurphy1@cps.edu Margaret has taught across grade levels from first grade to twelfth grade, in both regular and gifted classrooms in IL and NY state. She has also provided professional development for teachers through for-profit companies such as Futurekids and Sylvan Education Solutions, later known as Catapult Learning. She has been with Chicago Public Schools for over twelve years, in a few different capacities where she started in the ITS eLearning department creating online tutorials, then moved into Curriculum Instruction in the Education Technology department coordinating the iPad grant programs, then moved back to ITS as the Training Manager and is now the Team Lead for the iOS Support Team. |

James Pelton
Manager of Client Systems Email: jpelton@cps.edu James is responsible for CPS user devices throughout the district, including our 65,000 iPads. He designed and ran the iPad deployment during the Summer of 2013, which rolled out 5000 iPads per week over three weeks. He oversees the infrastructure that supports the District's iPads, including the network of 550 Distribution Servers, which he is currently refreshing across the district. He managed the deployment of AirWatch and Casper across the district and works closely with Apple on engineering issues, such as SQL data extractions from Configurator stations using Casper. He is currently leading the effort to integrate Apple's new Device Enrollment Program and is architecting an iOS-centric caching solution for the local school level. When James isn't behind a computer, he is in a meeting. |
