![]() The week's iOS Support Team shout out goes to the faculty, staff and students at James B McPherson Elementary School. McPherson students and teachers have embraced digital learning this year! Students are engaging, learning, creating and producing authentic work in all classes like never before! The days of signing up and bringing the class to the computer lab are gone as students are turning to their iPads to locate, evaluate, and access information in real time. In Reading, teachers using ThinkCERCA (nonfiction) and RazKids can monitor and track student growth and provide instant feedback to their students. In Math, the app Virtual Manipulatives is helping students visualize fractions, making computation real. GarageBand and iMovie production is in high gear and students are taking their research projects and creating documentaries, public service announcements, and advertisements from research they completed in collaborative classroom, library and technology units. Way to go #TeamMcPherson!

![]() The week's shout out goes to the faculty, staff and students at Mahalia Jackson Elementary School. Mahalia Jackson is leading the way across the digital divide. The iPad deployment at Mahalia Jackson is one of several tech investments made recently by school leadership. Below are some words from Mr. Hubbird, the principal at Mahalia Jackson, on how students and teachers are using their deployment to enhance learning. "Our students at Mahalia Jackson use our iPads daily. In the Pre-School class, the students use iPads to trace letters, learn phonics, and listen to stories at their individual level. All 3rd – 8th graders use Achieve3000 and myON for literacy intervention and enrichment. Our 6th – 8th graders are working on a PSA collaboration with a school in California. Our fourth graders created QR codes for studying graphs and surveys. Next year, our students will learn Computer Science on the iPads." Thank you to Mr. Hubbird his team at Mahalia Jackson for bringing the best of 1:1 learning to students! The iOS Support Team continues to unpack AirWatch this week. We're very excited to begin training school personnel on this MDM solution starting this summer. Our team is working closely with ITS Engineers to troubleshoot the challenges our schools may face with AirWatch on our Enterprise network. For more information about AirWatch click here. The NWEA MAP exam season is upon us. The iOS Support Team has put together some documentation that will help you setup student iPads for test taking. The end result of this setup process is the activation of Guided Access on individual iPads. Guided Access will allow students to use the NWEA MAP test session URL on the iPad and will lock down user access to many features of the iPad during test taking time.
