Apple ID Required After Reset or Find My iPad Enabled
If after a Reset or Erase All Content and Settings you are prompted to enter credentials for an Apple ID during initial set-up: This iPad is currently linked to an Apple ID.
If after a Reset or Erase All Content and Settings you are prompted to enter credentials for an Apple ID during initial set-up: This iPad is currently linked to an Apple ID.
- If you know the password for the requested ID enter it now.
- If you do not know the password proceed as follows:
- Tap the Setting app > General > About or locate the serial number etched on the back of the iPad
- Record the serial number of the device
- Contact the ITS Service Desk at 773-553-3925
- Please note clearing Activation Locks can take 1-3 weeks. You will be notified when the lock is clear.
